Exec to the Rescue (+ An Awesome Giveaway)

I am, obviously, a big fan of the internet. And while my adventures around the web largely swirl in the domains of writing and online shopping, I'm always super impressed when service-based companies step it up and take advantage of technology to make getting stuff done easier. Such was my experience with Exec Cleaning, an organic house cleaning service that makes it absurdly easy to, well, get your house clean.

Exec offers cleaning services in the Boston area (currently, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Roslindale, and Somerville); they also have locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, and Seattle. Simply hop on their site (or their iPhone app) and plug in quick details such as your zip code, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and requested date/time. You get an instant quote and then they text and email your confirmation + send text notifications when the cleaners are on their way, have arrived, and are done with the job.

Two friendly cleaners from Exec did a great job on our house (which, admittedly, was a little more grungy than usual). They worked for three hours (during which time I obliterated a huge pile of client work), tidied and scrubbed the house to a shine, and even left chocolate in their wake. Awesome.

So, want to try their services? Of course you do. Go forth, enjoy the convergence of tech and domestics, and enjoy getting other work or fun things done while the pros scrub your house down.

Disclosure: Exec Cleaning offered me a complimentary house cleaning to try their services for editorial consideration. I considered, it was awesome, and am subsequently sharing those thoughts here.
