Friday Find: New Balance Brights

Now that fall is here, I'm planning on getting back into the rhythm with Friday Find and am doing so today with some awesome, colorful sneakers from Boston-based New Balance! As a runner and mom of run happy kids, I'm pretty much always thinking about sneakers. Also, ever since 4-year-old Violet unexpectedly busted out a one-mile kids' fun run last spring (what?!), I've been thinking it would be good for her to run in something other than water sandals!

Anyway, back to New Balance! Their bright colors  make choosing sneakers with your family easy and fun. Here are three pairs of sneakers we'll be wearing this fall (kindly sent to me by New Balance to test out) + a fourth pair I ordered from J. Crew.

1. In the pre-school collection, the Vazee Rush is one of the few designs with the hook and loop closure, which makes them easy for Violet to get in and out of independently (major win). The sneakers are nice and lightweight and she immediately started tearing around outside as soon as she got them on.

2. Laurel opted for the Fresh Foam 980 in gray with voltage violet. She reported back that the shoes are comfortable and lightweight. In fact, she's wearing them at gym today.

3. After obsessing over the entire women's running collection, I decided to try the Vazee Pace. This shoe was awarded Best Debut by Runner's World Magazine (I'm a sucker for award winners...), I also am interested to try out this lightweight shoe to see if it helps me get a little speedier. I have always been more of a turtle pace person, but in the last year, my per mile pace has gone down about 1 minute so I'm curious to see how this shoe will respond!

4. Finally, I recently bought these gold New Balance for J. Crew sneakers because I've been on the hunt for casual yet stylish lifestyle sneakers and, well, GOLD SNEAKERS. I am obsessed with all things gold! They are so comfy and awesome!

In short, if you're looking for quality, stylish sneakers for this fall, check out New Balance! They've got options for the whole family, whether you're looking for lifestyle or performance shoes.
